Oval X-Treme edged ouf of Clarkson Cup Championship by Minnesota Whitecaps
In an intense competition over the remaining spot in tomorrow's Clarkson Cup women's national championship game, the Minnesota Whitecaps prevailed, edging out the Calgary Oval X-Treme. The depth of both teams' defense surfaced, as defensemen put all three pucks in the net.

Oval X-Treme lose to Brampton at Scotiabank National Championships

In the second game of Canadian Women's Hockey Championships, the CWHL's Brampton Canadette-Thunder claimed victory after a four goal comeback in the third period lead by Kingston's Jayna Hefford to vanquish the WWHL's Calgary Oval X-Treme 4-3.

The Calgary Oval X-Treme's hope for a fifth consecutive WWHL championship title was dashed Sunday by the Minnesota Whitecaps, who won their first title with a shut out victory, 2-0, at the Strathmore Family Centre.
